Message from the 2016 President
Welcome to 2016! I hope that everyone is getting back into the swing of things after spending the holidays with your loved ones.
During this time of year everyone puts together New Year’s Resolutions for both personal and professional growth. HSMAI-DFW wants to be sure to help you in achieving some of your resolutions! Whether you are looking to become an involved member, create new business relationships or earn a certification, we want to be there to help you.
Over the last couple of years, we were able to discover some of the strengths and areas of need that the chapter faces in today’s hospitality industry. Wendy Foster and her board did a phenomenal job in testing new educational programs, beginning the revamp of the chapter website, expanding our presence on all social media networks so you can keep up with what we have to offer, and so much more!
Going into the New Year we are embracing the theme Keep Calm This is YOUR HSMAI. The reason I chose this theme is because you as a member have access to a plethora of resources both at the chapter level as well as the international level. These benefits can only truly be realized through active membership, so let’s live the theme this year as we work towards improving ourselves. The 2016 Board of Directors is here to provide you with:
