2017 – New Friends, New Life

Human Trafficking is one of the biggest challenges the hospitality industry faces daily. As a community, we are the front line to seeing these victims in most cases. Last year we partnered with Journey to Dream to help homeless teens which are most commonly lured into human trafficking. When choosing this year’s charitable organization, I came across New Friends, New Life that helps these victims find a safe way out. They provide resources to reintroduce them to society in hopes they may live full and successful lives.  There are many ways our industry is working to stop human trafficking and this year we are going to help the victims have a place to turn.

2016 – Journey to Dream

Most people do not realize the statistics of homeless teens here in North Texas.  I have had the privilege of working alongside Journey to Dream in the efforts to provide resources and also raise funds to building the first homeless shelter for teens in Denton County.  This organization works equips and empowers young people to overcome adversity and achieve their dreams.  These young teens are the future of the world and we must help them now in order to make the best possible future for our industry.
